Rheumatoid Arthritis

This cross-sectional study was carried out in the UK and Switzerland to isolate the genetic influence on Rheumatoid Arthritis. The results highlight a link between genetic risk for rheumatoid arthritis and the gut microbiota. An increase in abundance of Prevotella_7. Genotype might mediate key taxonomic associations of the gut microbiota with rheumatoid arthritis, particularly Prevotella spp, suggesting that these species play a role in the early development of rheumatoid arthritis.
