Bloating recommendations
According to the NHS, bloating is an issue that affects most of us from time to time.
The Express Online dealt with this issue of bloating recently by recommending six easy diet tips to help avoid trapped wind pain and bloating.
First on the list, dietitian Helen Bond recommends supporting our ‘good’ bacteria by eating prebiotic foods such as wholegrain, leeks, Jerusalem artichokes, chicory, onions, garlic and bananas, which helps to feed, stimulate and support the growth of the friendly bacteria.

The other five tips in the article are – eat regular meals, eat lots of vegetables, cut back on caffeine, eat smaller amounts and reduce fat.
